This includes private collections of Founder and Chairman of Magna International, Frank Stronach; Canadian developer and famous racer, Lorne Leibel; TFS (Toronto French School); Mayor of Mississauga, Hazel McCallion; President of Hasbro North America, Michael Hogg; and CTV broadcaster and author, Pat Foran. Sergey was also commissioned by BBDO and Frito Lay to create portraits for the ‘Mad for Doritos’ advertising campaign. He was interviewed by Pat Foran, CTV broadcaster and author, and featured in his televised special report about the art of the portrait on CTV News. His Series of Portraits of Canadian wartime heroes are on permanent displays across Canada. I try to express, through my art, complex and multi-dimensional events of life in response to my own experiences. Some are visual, while others are heard and felt rather than seen. Nevertheless, all can be expressed through the visual art language I use, I called ‘Klekti’ (collective emotions). ‘Klekti’ allows me to express a collective set of emotions in a single painting.
